This day in Trench history

trench

It was 14 years ago this very day that I vomited forth a mess of HTML that would become my very first website giving birth to the identity that was first called TheTrenchcoat. That online identity would eventually pave the way to the pseudonym I use today of Trench Reynolds.

While I may not have gotten rich from doing this I am still amazed at some of the experiences I’ve had doing this. From the Washington Post incorrectly attributing me to something I had nothing to do with, appearing on National TV, striking up an online friendship with a New York Times best-selling author, and getting to speak with a true victim of human trafficking who got out are just some of the highlights.

Most importantly is not only the friends I have made over the years through my writing but my incredible readers. I’ve moved and merged websites and changed URLs so many times I’ve lost count yet you guys are always here. If it wasn’t for the readers I would have stopped doing this a long time ago.

Here’s hoping we keep seeing each other for at least another 14 years.
