A report has been published that states that half of Americans surveyed object to the online availability of graphic war images. Count me among them.
I find it disturbing that so many people feel they have every right to view a man being beheaded. I find it disturbing that some people are so spoiled with the freedoms that we are afforded that they think if someone is restricting them from seeing anything it’s a violation of their rights.
As I keep saying you don’t need to see the videotaped beheadings of Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, Paul Johnson, or Kim Sun-il. While you’re celebrating a victory for your “rights” the families of these victims are mourning the loss of their fathers, sons, brothers, who didn’t deserve the brutal slaughtering they received. But you don’t care. They’re only minor casualties in the greater goods for your “right” to gawk at their violent executions.
