A year ago I did an entry about keeping the Dale Earnhardt autopsy photos out of the Orlando papers. Then on 2/25/02 I wrote an entry about how I hope that the Daniel Pearl video never sees the light of day and how videos like the “Faces of Death” series have no place in society. Well, some sick twisted freak is at it again. Now according to this article some jackass took pictures of the late TLC singer Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes while she laid in the morgue and then posted them on the internet. According to the article, one of the websites employees defended their readers’ rights to view the photos. Rights??? What fucking rights. No one has the right to view someone’s death photos. The people who get off on this shit don’t deserve any rights. What about the rights of the families not to have these photos splashed across the internet. My dad just died recently and because of cancer, his face was horribly disfigured. I know I wouldn’t want his morgue photos shown in public. Luckily someone is bringing this travesty to the public’s attention. According to this article Dale Earnhardt Inc. is going to have their drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Steve Park, and Michael Waltrip will all have a black stripe under their left headlight in tonight’s race. Pit crews will also wear a stripe under their left eye in honor of Lisa Lopes.
There is no place in society for ghouls and grave robbers and death merchants who take these pictures and film these videos in our society. There is a limit to freedom of speech and these pictures and videos should be looked on with the same disdain as child pornography. I urge anyone who is reading this to please drop an e-mail to your local congressional representative to have something done about this. I know I am.

It’s been two years since August 25, 2001 was here. I was at work at 4:25 p.m. est when you were pronounced dead. I did’nt find out until later that saturday night. I cried for so many nights. I cried myself to sleep just for knowing that you’re angelic voice will never be recorded again. You know it’s been two years since your passing, and this is the first time I have a chance to say this. Aaliyah, though I did not know you as a friend (she signed her cd for me in 1996) I can only imagine how much of an angel you were. But I’ve been depressed for two years over you. I thought, how could the one I gave my heart to, break my heart so bad, how could the one who made me feel so happy, make me feel so sad. But now I understand. God wanted his angel closer to him. Aaliyah Dana Haughton: Both beautiful names for such angelic creatures. On August 25, 2001, we were devistated to hear the industry-shocker of Aaliyah’s most agonizing death in a Bahamas plane crash. She touched me, and for over 2 years, I obsessed oner her. Now, I’m not completely over her. Just this August 25 in 2004, I paid tribute to Aaliyah. I sang some songs of hers. Both of her posthumous album, “I Care 4 U”. Of course I sung ‘Miss You’ and ‘I Care 4 U’. I miss you.
Next up is Lisa Lopes. Now this girl was a crazy woman, who
I was listening to before Aaliyah came out in 1994. She was a part of TLC, and prehaps the most provocative. Lisa was by far the most sexiest out of the group girls to me, but that’s just me!!!!!
You both are truly angels and can’t no plane crash or car crash keep y’all souls down. You both are eternal.

We all miss Lisa Lopes! I would understand people wanting proof and seeing a pic released that is in the casket but not a pic from the accident or in the morgue room or anything. I mean it was all so sudden and it has her on tape right before it happened. She was the only one that died?! I just don’t see how it was just her and not the other passenger beside her. I would understand if she was dieing of a disease or something and she wanted to die another way. She just looked like she knew she was dieing. It so sad I miss her. 😦 😥
