Polk County FL Deputy: “Need to make the streets of D.C. run red with the blood of the tyrants”

Polk County FL Deputy: "Need to make the streets of D.C. run red with the blood of the tyrants"

I hate that I have to put the Polk County Sheriff’s Office of Florida in ye olde dumpster fire. If you read my crime site, you may know that I’m a fan of Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. Sheriff Judd has been at the forefront of apprehending online predators since at least the MySpace days. He’s also been an active proponent of apprehending actual child traffickers.

However, my fanboying aside, it seems that Sheriff Judd had an aspiring seditionist in his midst. In the wake of the Capitol riot, one of Sheriff Judd’s deputies allegedly said the following in what appears to be a text message exchange with other police officers.

Judd said [the deputy] had made comments such as “Need to make the streets of D.C. run red with the blood of the tyrants” and “should have dragged the tyrants into the streets and executed them.”

Here’s a screenshot that was released by the PCSO.

The deputy was turned in by a fellow officer.

In Sheriff’s Judd defense, the deputy in question has been fired. Judd himself even said “You can’t police the society if you don’t first police yourself.”

I’m far from being in the ‘ACAB’ crowd, but even I know that a dangerous element exists inside too many law enforcement departments around the country. That element should be called Traitorium, or maybe Conspiricium. They’re definitely toxic, easy to detect, but hard to dispose of. They also seem to have an inordinately long half-life.

Again, what’s to keep an armed insurrectionist from finding similar employment in another jurisdiction?

UPDATE 1/25/21: Not really an update as much as it is something I forgot to add to the original story. Anyway, the deputy in question has not only been fired from the PCSO, but he’s been arrested as well. He’s been charged with a second degree felony of making threats.
