Single issue stories do not get enough love these days. Anymore it seems to be all about the massive world-changing crossovers. That’s why Shazam! #15 was such a breath of fresh air.
Without getting into any spoilers, this comic was so fun for me on several levels and it showed many things without being patronizing. It showed that you don’t need a cape to change someone’s life for the better. It shows that even the smallest gestures can have an impact on someone’s life. Most importantly, it shows that you never know what’s going on behind the scenes in someone’s life and that the smallest offer of help can mean the world to them.
