body: I just read an old post of yours that states all who wish to see the daniel pearl video as freaks. What a small mind you must have. I’m a twenty year old college student who found your comments to be nothing but one mans small minded opinion. Sure I agree that some who wish to see this video are simply in it for the shock value, but they’re other people who wish to see the world around them. The world that would harbor so much hate, so much vile behavior, as to take a man and take his life and then show what they have done to the whole world. They’re some who wish to see this side of the world. This side of humanity. Your belittling attitude is not helping anything, name calling and forcing your opinion are not deterring the hate. I wish to see the video as to glimse into the eye’s of men so turned around, so lost that they believe they are doing the work of God. I wish to understand why they believe these things and why we are there target of hate.
I believe war to be wrong it is time we have moved past this pathetic ancient way of arguing. Murder is never a fucking answer. Not in the name of America not in the Name of Alla. Not in the name of retaliation. Not in the name of anything. I am unsure why your comments rang so loudly in my mind, but I do know that I am not just writing these words to you but I’m writing these words to every small minded prick who believes that what is right is what he has been told. My friend you have been lied to. Death, Hate, Destruction, Suffering, Repression, War, Propaganda, These things are all wrong no matter what they are called.
First of all it’s obvious that he’s an AOL’er because most of them think their screen name is their e-mail address. Like nothing exists outside of AOL. MY opinion doesn’t jibe with his so all of a sudden I’m small-minded. The left is all for freedom of speech except when they disagree with you. LIsten, people don’t need to watch the Daniel Pearl or the Nick Berg video to see the side of humanity that would do such a thing. You think you need to but you want to. We saw enough of that side of humanity when 3,000 people died a few Septembers ago. You try to rationalize your desire to see it as educational or intellectual but in the end you’re just like the rest of the mutants. A rubbernecker at someone’s unwarranted execution. Have some respect for their families.
I’m not surprised you’re against war. Everyone is against war. Unfortunately war is a necessary evil. Always has been always will be. America would have never gained its independence if we just asked King George nicely. Without war slavery might still be legal. Were we supposed to apologize to the Japanese for our naval base getting in the way of their bombs? Would Hitler have stopped slaughtering millions of Jews and others if we just said “please”? I’m not surprised you’re a 20-year-old college kid. You have a lot to learn before you get out into the real world.
